I've been feeling lately like I'm rushing through life, accomplishing very little while I do. While my home life is very rewarding, I'm now 37 (turning 38 in 2013) and there are many things in life that I've put off, or even said, Oh, I can't do that. None of us know what tomorrow will bring and I don't want to have regrets simply because I didn't try something. So, in 2013 I will try 12 new things, one each month. If I enjoy it, I may keep it up beyond the end of the month, or I might get to the 31st (or 30th, or 28th)of the month and simply say that it wasn't for me. Some things will be practical (like January's not eating out -- helping out with the pocketbook) and some will be more whimsical, I hope. I've not thought of all my monthly goals yet, but I've got time.
So long, 2012! I will celebrate you by eating take out all day, as tomorrow I say goodbye to eating anything I (or my husband) haven't cooked.
